Encircle Pouch

Sometimes you see a new pattern that is just so cute you have to make it straight away. So it was with the Encircle Pouch by Incomplete Stitches. I had seen the Encircle tote bag which is nice but I'm a sucker for smaller bags and pouches so when this was released I made it straight away. I sewed this up during February 2025.

The encircle pouch has a circular inset in the middle which gives lots of options to play around with fabric choices. This pouch comes in four sizes, mini, small, medium and large. There are a few options for pockets which are cleverly placed into the circle on the front. There is a sew along for the bag on YouTube which is helpful.

I made the small size and used some leftover denim and a fat quarter. I used some interfacing on the cotton. I found the bag to be easy and quick enough to sew. There are no zips or other hardware, the most complex part is setting the circle into the gusset. It is explained very well in the instructions. If you go slow you'll be grand. I had to wait some time for my order of draw string cord to arrive so some photos here show the bag without it.

I am using it as a project bag for small knitting and crochet projects and it's perfect for this as it stands up by itself and stays open. The lack of a zip means the yarn doesn't snag. I would like to make another in a larger size and maybe add a grab handle.
