Black Moss Jacket
This is my first sewing project of the year. I spent some time in January catching up with writing up all my projects from last year and knitting away on my winter doodle jumper. Last year I made a moss jacket in floral denim. I really like it and I've worn it a lot. I wanted to make the other view which is shorter and has a wide folded collar. Here's a link to the pattern so you can see the line drawings and views. I used some black cotton that I had bought from a lady who was moving and selling her fabric. I'm almost at the end of that batch of fabric.
I shortened the sleeves a little and they are the perfect length now. I really like how it turned out. It's more casual than a blazer but smarter than a cardigan which makes it perfect for my style and life. I don't have many/any occasions to wear a blazer but a smart black jacket will be very useful. I didn't find that the larger collar was harder to sew or anything. A nice project to get my back into sewing for the year.
