Mix It Up Tee

I'm pretty sure I heard about the Mix It Up tshirt sew a long from the Sequingirlie Creates youtube channel. This was a sew a long run by My Handmade Wardrobe back in June as a free introduction to her weekend sewing club. It's a nice idea with monthly patterns and support plus a community. This tshirt is one that can be made from various jersey scraps. I hunted about in my stash and sure enough came out with enough scraps to make this t shirt. 

I pieced it all together and really liked the result. You could have a lot of fun colour blocking with this pattern. You might think the lime green is a daft colour but it works for me and I wore this tshirt a lot over the summer. I'll definitely make another one when I build up enough scraps. In the next photo you can see me using my walking foot to zig zag the neckband with lime green thread.
