Moss Jacket And Arden Trousers

A while ago a local lady was moving away and selling her fabric. I bought some and used most of it up in 2025. There was quite a length a of lightweight printed denim. I thought it would be really nice to make a matching set with it. I decided that the Arden pants and Moss jacket from Helen's Closet patterns would make a nice set.

I have made the arden pants before and I knew they fit nicely. I was pleased with how I finished these and they look really nice on. I made view A of the moss jacket. It was a very satisfying make. I was familiar with techniques like the burrito method so it wasn't too difficult but it was nice to have a bit more of a challenge. I really liked how the pockets worked into the seams, so neat. The sleeves are a little long for me but I wear them rolled up and like how you can see the plain denim when turned up.

I have worn this set many times since making it and these are my two favourite makes. It's like a casual suit and the fact the pieces match makes it look dressed up.
