Summer Socks

Over the summer I decided I would knit some socks as my travel project. I used a standard sock pattern which I'm trying to memorise. I cast on 64 stitches and did a standard heel flap and then toe decreases. The first pair were blue self patterning Drops fabel sock yarn that I got in Winnie's Craft Cafe ages ago. I finished these pretty quickly. I then cast on another pair using Wollmeise sock yarn I got many many years ago in London. I suppose stash does eventually get used up. I used a combination of a tiny diameter circular needle and double pointed needles to knit the socks. I've worn both pairs over the winter. Over christmas I cast on another pair. Socks are such a great in between project to always have on the go.
