Another Tofino Top

Before I ordered more fabric I wanted to use up as much of my garment fabric as possible. I think it can be overwhelming to have too much dressmaking fabric. Seasons and tastes change so I don’t want to have too many fabrics I’m not keen on lurking in my stash and preying on my mind every time I start something new. I am hoping to donate any of the fabric I don’t want to use to the Change Clothes scrap store. So then other people who do have a use for them can give them a home.

I had some lovely light blue/green linen as my last fabric to use. I looked at several different top patterns but I didn’t think it would suit any of them. So I decided to make another Tofino top. I’ve been listening to the Love To Sew podcast recently and now I know Tofino is a place that’s nice to holiday in. I’m really glad I made this shirt with it as I absolutely love it. Which is odd as I don’t usually love shirts on me but this one is different, I’ve made it in two different fabrics and love it. I put nice wooden buttons on it and that adds to the laid back vibe. I made the longer length this time. This will be great with jeans and shorts in summer. It's a heavier weight so that will be perfect for the chillier days of an Irish summer.
